Today we are opening the ICRR Compendium, a free guide to reincarnation for anyone who is curious, whether you have just watched a documentary, heard a story on a podcast, or are trying to make sense of something your own child has said.
Reincarnation turns up in many places: in careful case studies, but also in bestselling books, television series, films, podcasts, websites and newspaper features. The Compendium brings it together in one place, in plain language, and tells you what each source is and how far you can rely on it.
What you will find
- Famous cases: children and adults who remembered a past life, such as Shanti Devi, James Leininger and Ryan Hammons, told as stories, with what was checked and what was found.
- Podcasts, documentaries, films and TV: from Surviving Death to The Reincarnation Records Podcast, with a short guide to what each one covers.
- Books: memoirs by parents and experiencers as well as the classic research books, with a note on which is which.
- Websites and journalism: news features, magazine articles and online resources worth reading, and how they relate to the research.
- Beliefs and traditions: how cultures around the world understand rebirth.
- The research behind it all: the researchers, the ideas they use, and the questions critics raise.
Every entry says what kind of source it is, lists where its information comes from, and shows who reviewed it and when. Where the evidence is strong we say so, and where it is weak or disputed we say that too.
For members
Members can save any entry, or any passage from one, to their research binder, add their own notes, and start a discussion about it in the forum with other members and our researchers.
Help us build it
The Compendium is starting small and will grow every month. If you know a podcast episode, documentary, book, article, website or case that should be in it, please suggest it. Our editors check every suggestion before it is added.
