KM and for all those interested — have been meaning to explain myself further on this front.
My idea for using remote viewing to obtain past life memories works on the basis that remote viewing is a way to speak to our subconscious mind. Or rather, to understand the information it is presenting us. I’ve only done a couple of remote viewing sessions now, but have been learning all I can about it in my spare time.
Now, one of the fundamental issues that people face when accessing past life memories is that there can often be a blockage around understanding what the subconscious is presenting. The memories of that life can lack context, which then leads to problems such as ‘great, I can see a house in the middle of a field and it sure looks like America, but it could, literally, be any house in America in any location.’ That’s just an example. It’s difficult to pinpoint and narrow down these things because often the autobiographical details such as addresses, and even names of places are just not there. It’s an issue I have with recalling. For instance, I could recall that my house in Texas had wood panelling on the walls, and that in the summer the lighting of the house was a brownish ambience due to the shutters being down/the panelling (later confirmed via family members of my past self.) But if you had asked me to find my house on a map of Texas, I would have struggled. I lacked that type of information.
Sometimes I am able to just inherently know where something was, or where it occurred, because I either have historical reference, or had it just ‘come’ to me, but on critical information, such as place names, the more you try to get them, the more they seem to run away.
Now my thinking is that Remote Viewers face this problem all the time. They are asked to find missing people, and (the best) controlled remote viewers are able to find pinpoint information to narrow it to a locale. What if this type of framework could help people narrow down vague information they might have about a former life?
An example of the sort of issues that one can face during a remote viewing session is very similar to the issues a person can face when trying to put former life memories in the context of a real event in space/time. My first full remote viewing session demonstrated this.
I was given a target reference number, and went through the techniques. I was picking up works like ‘metallic’ and colors such as ‘red’ and also the sound of echoing/reverbing voices. But on top of this, I began drawing out some very specific details. To left of the target, I drew a distinct statue on a square raised pedestal — he was wearing oriental type clothes in my drawing. In the middle of the page I drew a hospital type building. I was picking up the sounds of the city, and skyscrapers and so on. Then to the right I drew a tree and some grass, feeling that there was parkland there, and as an AOL (analytical overlay) I had written the word ‘docks’. To me this target made no sense whatsoever. I thought I’d made it up. In hindsight I can see that what I was drawing was a map of the location of the target, but not the target itself. I had completely overlooked it!
After the session, I learnt that the target was the Yokahoma Vanish! rollercoaster. Initially I thought I was way, way off, and put it down to being a beginner. But, I decided I’d put this data in my database, and in doing so, investigate a bit about the target. I decided on a whim to type ‘statues near Yokahoma Vanish! rollercoaster’, because I was very certain about this statue I’d seen, and it being roughly left to the target. Lo and behold, there was a statue to the left (NW, 1 km) away from the target. And, it was of a man in Japanese attire, standing atop of a square pedestal.
I then thought, well, there has to be a hospital in front (N) of the target. Sure enough, there’s one 500m to the north of the target. And the park? It is 600m to the right of the target (NE). And the AOL of the docks I had turned out to be accurate, because the rollercoaster is right in the docks.
This is the map I created of the target, and points of interest:

So, here’s the rub. If I didn’t know that this target was a rollercoaster in Yokahoma, I doubt from my map drawings I would have ever found it. But, I had the point of reference revealed to me after the session, so I could see for myself that I was picking up aspects around the target, as well as the target — whilst ignoring the target itself.
How does this relate to past life recall? Well, if people could learn a similar technique to filter out subconscious outputs and to understand the subconscious in the same way that remote viewers do, it might eliminate the problem of ‘can’t recall a name/ place/date’.
Am interested in thoughts as usual!
Ben
Note: Have attached my photo/sketch of the target, as well as the paragraph made to summarise the session prior to target reveal:
This seems to be a park of some kind to the right. In the centre is a building that has sick people in it. There’s little or no emotion there. There’s a tree to the right of the building. To the left is something of interest, like a city, very busy. Exposed sky and a monument like a statue or there’s a person standing on a platform. Seems imposing, broken maybe?
Interesting musings. I’ve thought about getting into something like remote viewing for some time, although ultimately I’ve found myself unmotivated to pursue it seriously because it seems to have a very low utility ceiling, being effectively a high-effort, no-reliability novelty. I want psychic powers that are useful for something, dammit! I know some have had scattershot success with it enough to demonstrate that it at least exists, though, as with your above personal example. Certainly a fascinating topic, but as my only engagement with it is purely academic, I can’t personally comment on any relationship with PL recall. At a glance, I admit I’m not seeing the connection, although your argument does seem to be predicated on a way of “navigating” one’s mind that I have no experience with.
